List of improvements made to the film opening:
- Added more clips of the group in different locations - this created a more realistic theme of friendship
- Retook pictures on the disposable camera to ensure all pictures could be viewed easily and that the pictures were in different locations, to link with the first improvement made
-Cut the film opening down by 30 seconds through editing and speeding up certain footage
- Redid the order of the titles to put them in the correct order - replicated title order of Gone Girl

Audience
This Prezi is taken from a teaching resource and explains the basics of Primary and Secondary audiences:
Our Primary Audience is teenagers. The genre of our film is teenage drama and the target audience is 15+ teenagers. We decided that it would be 15+ because the film would contain mature themes such as running away, and would contain explicit language. We wanted to create a teenage drama because we felt it could relate to a wide audience and therefore the popularity of the film would increase.
Our Secondary Audience is the teenagers parents. We created a film that would be an older family friendly. The film opening is suitable for a family with teenagers therefore the parents would be the secondary audience. They would be the secondary audience because they would not be our main target audience but would still be viewers and consumers and again increase the number of views.

Institutions
We decided for the film institution to use Film 4. We decided to use Film 4 because they typically fund and distribute smaller budget films for example American Honey.
Institutions
We decided to use my production logo for the film opening because it was simple, quick and it also fit in with the theme of teen drama.
Font for titles
For the actual titles of the film (director, producer, e.t.c), we decided to hand write them on the photos that we were burning. We wrote the titles in black marker pen and in capitals to ensure that they were easy to read.
Title Research -
We decided that we wanted to use a fear type for our movie name. We researched the different types of phobias, and narrowed it down to Panophobia (fear of everything) and Athazagoraphobia (The fear of being forgotten, ignored, or abandoned). We decided to use the name Panophobia because it was easier to pronounce and remember. It also worked better with the narrative of our film.

Other music Ideas
I'll Never Find Another You - The Seekers
This song might fit the film because it has quite an upbeat tune that reflects the happy atmosphere in the opening. It is also relevant because the film is about a missing girl and the title I'jll never find another you, fits in well with the theme of desperation.
Special Years - Val Doonican
This song is quite good for our film opening because the theme of the song is looking back on the fond times of girls growing up and the fun they had.
The song is quite a slow beat so might not work that well with the footage, but this could be sped up/altered to fit the footage.
Panophobia Music
We used this song - I'd Like to Walk Around in Your Mind - for our film opening.
In the footage we slowed down the music to fit with the pace of the piece.
Improve:
Ensure the footage is in time to the beat of the music
Potentially add some of the background (non- diagetic) noises
Maybe try a more upbeat song to fit in with the happier times
Panophobia First Draft
First draft for film opening of Panaphobia.
To Improve:
Retake the photos on the disposable camera - to ensure good quality and clear pictures for titles.
Change the locations of some of the montage footage e.g. Around school - not just in the arcade.

Peer Assesment
I peer assessed a film opening called 'Where the guilt lies' and gave feedback to the group.
WHAT ELEMENTS OF THIS SEQUENCE DID YOU FEEL WERE SUCCESSFUL?
Music really sets the atmosphere - creates a sense of tension
Setting/costume was thogutb out and worked well
Good camera shots - different angles included
WERE THERE ANY ASPECTS OF THE SEQUENCE WHICH YOU FELT WERE CONFUSING/DISTRACTING ETC?
Parts of the voice over don't match up - the family want people to come forward with details but want privacy.
LIST 2 THINGS WHICH YOU FEEL WOULD HAVE IMPROVED THIS SEQUENCE AND EXPLAIN.
Parts of the voice over is muffled and too quick - needs to slow it down and speak clearer.
Maybe speed up the pace of some scene to create a faster pace which would create a panicked film.

Marketing - SOCIAL MEDIA
We got a template of a twitter account and put our own images and text over the top.
We decided to use social media as a way of marketing because social media is a really big aspect of peoples' lives so by putting the film in front of them we are increasing the publicity of the film and opening the film up to a wider variety of people.
Panophobia feeedback
TEACHER FEEDBACK:
(First draft)
Add Institutions and title to the start of the opening
Change the photos for clearer ones
Possibly include clips of the friends in different locations
CLASS FEEDBACK

"Very inventive titles.
The music was appropriate.
Good sense of enigma at the end.
Well edited - I liked how it was slightly jumpy and fast."

- True expression.
- Love the titles.
- Plea involves audience."
"- nice twists at the end, keeps people interested
- Good acting which added to the drama"
Were there any aspects of the sequence which you felt were confusing/distracting/missing, etc?
"Maybe too many blank screens so people think its over."
"At times the voice overs were not very clear."
"Didn't understand music - feel like you needed something more upbeat."
"I couldn't see the pictures when they turned them around."
List 2 things which you feel would have improved this sequence and explain your opinion.
"Shorten black screens."
"Make ending more clear that she is watching."
"Make the picture showing part longer."
"The audio could be a bit clearer."
Coursework - Film Poster
The is the poster for our film opening, titled "Panophobia".
We decided to make the poster fairly simple in order to create a feeling of mystery, which ties in to the actual plot of the film.
Underneath the title is the definition of panophobia, which we decided to include as our tagline as not only does it add authenticity to the poster but it gives us a clue about what the film is about.
The image of a disposable camera shot of three friends also shows the plot of the film, as does the match next to it which also adds mystery and enigma.
Marketing - BUS
For marketing, the main ideas we had were to advertise our film on social media, posters, and on the side of buses.
This is an example of how the film poster would look on a bus. We kept the the design quite simple, but with bold writing to ensure viewers of the poster can read the film title.
This way of marketing will hopefully increase the amount of people who will want to see the film, and increase the popularity of the film.

Coursework - storyboard
Our second story board we created was better than our first one because it included the exact times of the shots and the camera shots we were using.
We had to redo the first storyboard because it needed more detail on it about the camera work and timings to ensure that it helped us create the correct finished piece.

Coursework - Storyboards
The first storyboard we designed included just a basic ideas of the scenes we wanted to include in our film opening. We wanted various scenes in our film opening, ranging from arcade scenes with a happy atmosphere to a dark scene with a mysterious atmosphere.
Our first storyboard we didn't include any timings or shots because we were unsure of how it would work but later we did another storyboard that included timings and camera shots.
